1: Screen Savers
Explanation
A Windows self-installing Screen Saver has been included on the CDROM. Other platforms can export images from the MrSID viewer and use them in Screen Savers that accept user input.
Requirements for the Windows Screen Saver
Steps
- Click on the self-extracting executable file on the Screen Saver page and follow the instructions - the Screen Saver will be installed into Windows
- Go to your Display Control Panel and select the WOUK2000 Screen Saver and appropriate options (eg how long to wait before activating)
- Click Apply/OK and the Screen Saver will start after the amount of time you specified
Requirements for Other Screen Savers
- An image viewer that will enable you to save the MrSID TIF file as a suitable file format for your customisable Screen Saver software
- Customisable Screen Saver software

Steps
- Open the required image in the MrSID viewer
- Then export it to a TIF file on your hard disk
- Open this TIF file in your image viewer
- Save the TIF file as a JPEG (or whatever file format your customisable Screen Saver accepts)
- Start your Screen Saver package and follow its instructions about loading images
- Ensure your Screen Saver package is the default Screen Saver and it will start after the delay that you have set
