Ten things to do with your WOUK2000 CDROM:
4: Image Maps
Explanation
You can export images from the MrSID viewer as TIF files. If you open these in your image viewer, you can annotate them and then print them out to provide an up-to-date map or guide to a particular area - eg if you are going on a country walk (few maps show up-to-date field boundaries).
Requirements
- MMrSID (compatible with Windows95/98/00/NT and Power PC Macs)
- Image viewer (downloadable from the web - search on 'image viewer' at your favourite search engine eg www.yahoo.com) that contains a toolbox of options such as 'Pen'
- High quality printer
Steps
- Open the required image in the MrSID viewer
- Then export it to a TIF file on your hard disk
- Open this TIF file in your image viewer
- Use a 'Pen' tool (or similar) to mark a distinctive (red?) line along your route (such as a footpath or road)
- Now print this image
