DATA PROCESSING

Investigators will be provided with Level 1A data which includes system radiometric calibration. Cloud masking could be problematic, because of the lack of thermal or polarisation channels.

Atmospheric correction will be required for some applications. In order to undertake atmospheric corrections there is a need to have ground measurements for checking the result. However, atmospheric correction may be unnecessary for land use classification using a single image or when investigating change over a time series of images.

Geocoding using GCPs will be necessary for precise registration of the sets of BRDF images.
