National Learning Network for Remote Sensing
The National Learning Network for Remote Sensing is Scotland's major web-based resource for learning about remote sensing. It includes about 80 short interactive, multimedia lessons on key topics in the background science and technology of remote sensing and a sample of applications areas. Some topics are presented at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels. These are available over the Web and are integrated with three "virtual laboratories" that enable more exploratory learning.

The Network is freely available to anyone. You will be asked for a few details when you register which help to show how widely the material is being used.

The National Learning Network involves more than just the web site. It also coordinates and hosts shared video-conferenced lectures and seminars which are accessible over the Scottish MANs high bandwidth (ATM) network (see the web site for details of the programme)

The National Learning Network for Remote Sensing is a collaboration between the Universities of Paisley, Edinburgh and Dundee which produced and evaluated teaching and learning materials for remote sensing in all Scottish Higher Education Institutions and was originally funded by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council.
